Welcome to my PC gallery!!

First of all, take a peep of my room right from the grand entrance!

Notice the Creative Inspire 5300 5.1's subwoofer partially hidden in the corner on the floor...

I purposely locate it there to create a lil' bit more resonance.. to give a bigger "whoomp"!! It works! at least for PC speakers...

A closer view of my mess...

    Isn't that romantic? =D

Front view of my casing... the iCute clone...

Isn't it much nicer without the "iCute" wordings?

There's a double Sony here...

16x DVDROM and 8x/4x/32x CDRW...

and the IOMEGA ZIP100...

Rear view of my casing..

Notice the grille for exhaust fan is so poorly designed that not much air can escape. A lot of back pressure is produced. Result? I cut one of the grilles away... the other one is left unused. Aiya so many fans for what...

Can you identify what cards I have? they are...(starting from the top)

1) Matrox G400MAX. (Don't have a proper 2nd monitor so the 2nd output is sealed)

2) DLink NIC (No, I don't have Broadband. It's to connect to our laptop)

3) SB Audigy DE (Firewire port is sealed... coz no Firewire devices what...)

4) Adaptec 29160 SCSI card (external connector is sealed, again, for obvious reasons..)

Side view of the interior... not exactly neat, but it's still ok lah... given the number of devices and cables...

(6 devices, 6 cables. None of which is slave)

The huge full-sized board inside is the good old ASUS A7V133 RAID... and powering everything is the Enlight 300W PSU... oops... P4 not supported hehe... but who cares anyway?

A peep at the Alpha PAL8045 with Papst TYP 8412 NGH fan.

This heatsink is huge....

80mm x 80mm!

Underneath it lies the AMD Athlon 1GHz @ 1.33GHz running on default voltage...

The main thing I like about this casing is the extended hard disk bays right down to the base. Very useful when you have 2 or more hard disks. And this is also the reason why I swap casings with my GF...

The drive on top is a Seagate Barracuda ATA IV 20GB.

The drive below is my latest pocket-pua-kang investment, a Quantum Atlas 10K III 18GB...

Believe it or not, it runs cooler than the Barracuda IV! And an IBM 75GXP will easily beat it in terms of seek noise. Yes, it's THAT quiet and cool.....

Here it is! My first venture into the world of SCSI...

Notice the name is still "Quantum" instead of "Maxtor"...

Almost settled for the Seagate Cheetah 36ES but my patience finally paid off...

Since I'm quite an audiophile, I simply cannot leave my even-hiong-er investments go unmentioned right? All thanks to TKsCorner.. without him I may not get such good lobangs at such great prices. May I present you.... my "MUSIC CENTER"!! Haha a pity that only CDs can be played... no tuner =(

Featured below are:

CD Player - Denon DCD-2560GL Special Limited Edition (should have been a Marantz CD63MKII KI-Signature... but nvm...)

Amplifier - Martin Roland M-831 Integrated (controversial amp, but anyway, power cord is custom made courtesy of TKsCorner...)

Speakers - Mordaunt-Short MS25i floorstanders

AFA ARES interconnects and speaker cables are used. Notice the green color cables on the floor? Yups that's the AFA. Really looks like water hoses LOLz....

OK, just to briefly introduce my dearest GF's PC... also set up by me, of coz... and over 3 years my hands so itchy until I transformed her PC from a measely K6-2 400MHz, 64MB SDRAM, S3 Trio 8MB, Creative Vibra, 14GXP 10GB, cheapo brandless speakers...... into a powerful AMD Athlon 1GHz, 256MB SDRAM, Matrox G400 32MB, SB Live!, D740X 20GB and the latest acquisition, the Cambridge MicroWorks! She also got the HP Scanjet 2200C scanner recently coz she suddenly wanted to build her own webpage after coming back from student exchange from canada haha...

Hmmmm..... now the only thing I'm aiming to get rid of... hehe... is her irritating 15" Acer monitor! It is always emitting this very high pitch noise... really can't stand it!

A head-on view! The subwoofer sure is BIG...........

Ooops this pic is a bit behind time... the casing is supposed to be the Enlight now...

OK let's get into details... here's the front view of her casing, the Enlight EN7233...

This is the rear view... the unused ports are sealed... ermmm... the masking tape looks horrible haha.. but lazy to change lah so...

Apart from the Matrox G400, she only has a SB Live! Value and a Linksys NIC...

Just compare her PC's interior to mine! So much emptier... with just the most basic of things... a Sony 8/4/32 CDRW and a Maxtor D740X 20GB...

A peep at the Alpha PAL6035, armed with a Y.S. Tech fan. Underneath it lies also an AMD Athlon 1GHz, but not overclocked...

Errrmm... inevitably, this PC doesn't enjoy the full "privileges" compared to mine... like a simple fan guard for the exhaust fan heheh....

Just a glance at this monstrous sub of the MicroWorks...

Last but not least, a more "professional" attempt to take snapshots haha... looks neat right? Yups that's our cool blue Fujitsu S-4562 against a matching blue background. This notebook is just about the size of an A4 piece of paper and weighs under 2kg.... =)

Guess what the background is?

Yeah you should've guess it right...

It's.... a bed!!

OK guys & gals so much for the no-standard "gallery" of mine... although by now some stuffs ain't the same anymore (just compare with the worded specs) well, I guess it's the digicam itch that has gotten onto me now. Borrowed one from my friend to take pics of my project, but end up taking more pics of my PCs, house, soft toys etc.... hope you didn't spent too much time loading the pics!! =D
